June 7th
June 7th is National Trails Day and Mid Atlantic Climbers is excited to be working again in Patapsco State Park, this time at the Morgan Run bouldering area in Eldersburg, MD. The banks of Morgan Run are home to some boulders problems from V0 to V6. There are also some taller outcrops of rock up to 34 ft for top roping. While Morgan Run has been growing in popularity among climbers recently, it’s also frequented by many other park users including fishermen and hikers. This Adopt a Crag is a great opportunity for the climbing community to show the park how much we value this resource by putting in some hard work. We’ll be improving the trail network and removing trash and graffiti- projects that will benefit all park visitors.
