Join us and our partner PATC-MS as we continue working on the Green Trail, the main approach trail to climbing in the park! Please sign up here. Registration will be capped at 20 volunteers.

Schedule:

  • Registration: 9am
  • Project work: 9am-1pm
  • Optional top roping: after 1pm

Where To Meet/How To Get There:

From 270, take exit 22 towards Barnesville, merging onto MD-109 S (Old Hundred Road).  After approximately 3 miles, take a right onto MD-95 (Comus Road) to the park entrance and drive to the West View Parking lot.  We’ll meet at the small shack at the base of the Green Trail.

What To Bring:

  • Food and water for the day
  • Good sturdy boots
  • Long pants
  • Working gloves (if you have them)
  • Helmet
  • A small pack
  • We ask participants to follow CDC guidelines for mask wearing

What We’ll be Doing:

We have several areas of concern that we will work depending on the size of the overall group. The overall scope will primarily focus around fencing and social trail brushing to address the ever-growing “trail creep” occurring along the Green Trail. There may be some heavy stone moving.

After trail work is complete (by 1pm), PATC-MS will organize top-roping for the afternoon.
