Join us as we continue working to improve Sugarloaf Mountain’s Green Trail, the main approach trail to climbing in the park. We’ll be carrying out general trail maintenance to minimize the trail’s impact on the park and control erosion and help protect access to climbing within the park.

  • Registration: 8:30am
  • Project work: 9am-12pm
  • Raffle and lunch (provided): 12pm

Where To Meet/How To Get There:

From 270, take exit 22 towards Barnesville, merging onto MD-109 S (Old Hundred Road).  After approximately 3 miles, take a right onto MD-95 (Comus Road) to the park entrance and drive to the West View Parking lot.  We’ll meet at the small shack at the base of the Green Trail.

What To Bring:

  • Food and water for the day
  • Good sturdy boots
  • Long pants
  • Working gloves (if you have them)

What We’ll be Doing:

We have several areas of concern that we will work depending on the size of the overall group.  Potential includes water bar work, stair work, and trail redefining. There may be some heavy stone moving.
